watching this honestly transports you to some dimly lit mostly empty club in 1930s NYC and a strange pretty girl in a white dress has wandered up onstage to sing this song and no one is really paying much attention but you’re enraptured and you can’t take your eyes off of her and she looks at you right near the end and as soon as its over you want to run up and talk to her but you’re frozen because she was that otherworldly and she disappears out the back door before you can get her name and no one else heard it either and you go back to the club over and over hoping she’ll come back but she never does and so you pine over her for the rest of your life without ever knowing who she was
